that i'd go to, but i wouldn't drive to vegas. i did the c.c. once and i'm go on it (s.d. to miami). to have to go through texas again would be torcher.

 

I drove my tC to vegas. Most dreadful 4 hours of my life cuz I had just gotten my car back from the shop & I was so scared my suspension would blow up.

p.s. SEMA's hard to get into, you either have to be a featured vehicle, or have 3 different ways of proof that you have something to do with the automotive industry.

 

ithought you trailered it there. i'd be scared of the rock chips, all those trucks on the 15. screw that.

yeah, that's what my cuz told me.

 

No trailer. I drove it there like a champ. I actually got a lot of props from companies when they asked me. Cheapest quote was $1200 for a trailer from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. First thing the trailer companies ask you during SEMA time is "where's it going?" & as soon as you say vegas they triple the cost. I know car's that have been trailered ACROSS COUNTRY for $700-$800. They just think that since its a "show car" people won't wanna risk damaging it on the way, especially to SEMA.

Oh & to top it off, I didn't use any blue tape at all because it was fresh paint. I got away with only 2 rock chips.

I should also mention why it was dreadful......well, the body shop cut the wires to my system so I drove there with NO RADIO! *dies*

thats ok... one of my new year's resolutions is to build my car and show at sema 08.

 

yeah driving to vegas w/o radio would suck. i had to wait until i hit el paso (12 hrs) for some show tunes--excluding when i could actually get a radio station, b/c the u-haul had no cd player. good thing my mom came along.

 

Hey yall could allways put up with Hawaiian radio. Weve got 3 hiphop stations that several times a day all 3 play the same song, at pretty much the same place, at the same time. Its allmost better to not listen to anything at all.

And Sirius and XM flat out refuse to bring it to hawaii.... probibally cuz radio here would suffer hardcore.

 

at least you have radio. think about peeps in alaska they probably have one hip-hop station, if any.

guess your cds get a lot of usage. beautiful place though

 

At this point in time, you don't want it, trust me. I have about $300 in it & $3000
debt.

Now, if you were to say that about 6 months ago, then I'd believe you. At that point I had about $12k in it.

But now, I'm broke.

However, I get paid monday, then the tax refund comes in February, & then a bonus in March. I'm crossing my fingers & hoping I'm out of debt by March.

You may be seeing me and one of the tCs somewhere else... I have finally surrendered to the fact that just about nobody will buy the fm tC so who gives a crap what the miles are... Road tripin in those seats though, not a chaaaaance.
