I have a 14g bar in my industrial, got it pierced that way. If you need to get another bar let me know & I can check my local shop & see if they have 16s & send it your way. The shop by me has a pretty good size variety & use internal threading (the reason your ears not healing may also be the threading rubbing on the inside of your ear if it's not tightened all the way, given you're using externally threaded. If it's not tightened the threading may be tearing apart the inside of your ear) The difference between internal & external threading makes a huge difference. The bubbles you're getting aren't keloids, its scar tissue trying to heal itself. If you sleep on your ear (when you toss & turn) it re-tears the scar tissue that's trying to heal itself causing it to never heal . My industrial was exactly how you mentioned yours is for 10 months. Do sea salt soaks on it 3 times a week & it should heal itself within 2 weeks or so, & try as hard as you can to not sleep on it. If you can't find sea salt local to you, let me know & I'll swing by the shop & send you some for free. So don't be worried, the bump will go away.

thanks for the info! yeah mine are externally threaded.. and another problem is that the bar isnt long enough. it pinches my ear sometimes.

 

yikes...pierces scare me too! i don't mine little ones like ears, or belly button, nose piercings can look good, really depends on the girls whole stylebecause in some cases it fits their whole look very well, but some times it just doesn't look like it belongs there.

but overal, i am very careful around pointy metal things.

haha, i didnt get mine pierced til i was like 20....i HATE needles.

 

oh jeez you guys shoulda seen me Monday, I was in the ER and they had to hook me up to an IV and they gave me a bunch of shots, I'm not sure what hurt worse... what I was in there for or the shots/IV. She got the needle in the vein on my right hand... then the vein shut down so they had to go to my left hand. gah.

 

what happened ?

IV SUCK! last time i was in ER they put it in my left arm but apparently "I" broke the needle

so she went for the other arm

 

i can one up you on that story, but what happened that you were in the ER??

 

I APARENTLY had a cyst in my right ovary that was happy there and then decided to rupture.

Most painful thing I have ever felt in my life.

eh. Still in a lot of pain and still doped up but out of the hospital. I'm not gonna even try and act tough, this crap hurts.

Aw thanks C I'm just moving VERY slow and taking it super easy. I'm really lucky my fiance was so amazing through all of it, I was rushed to the hospital from work a little before 9am on monday and the next thing I knew Erik was there, even though he works over an hour away from where I work. He was by my side letting me squeeze his hand every minute.
