No tC here, but I have a homelink rearview mirror on my Mazda and it's amazing. Definitely getting one in my next car as well.

I put mine hooked onto the driver's side door compartment thing at the bottom of the door (no idea what that is called).

Hooks right over the edge and I just have to reach down to press the button. Registers down the street with no problems.

It's fairly common on motorcycles to do. People take them apart and mount the electronics in the tail and put a button on the controls.

You just take it apart and swap the leads that connect to the main button to a simple push button.

when i had a tc.. i removed the driver side visor. i liked it cuz i felt like i could see out more.. but there was a hole on the left side of the headliner.. so i put the clip of the remote in there and the remote itself covered the hole.. it looked pretty nice.

best place i found to be accessible and convenient is on the bottom left hand side of the steering wheel, right under the the fog light switch, illumination button, on the handle of the fuse box, i just slip clip of the garage door opener there and it holds, never moves. i don't know about the rest of you but i use my left hand to push the button.
