i just had my engine replaced ..( thats another story) ..and i have used 1/8 a tank in like 20min..is there anything i can check or is there a reason as to that bad of mpg

 

How about waiting more than 20 minutes to determine if there is a problem? Run the tank out or drive 250 or so miles, then fill up again to figure out actual consumption.

Right now it is equally likely that your gauge is screwed up

 

look at MPG on next tank

 

did you get an all new motor? maybe needs to be broken in.

 

20 min of driving?? Thats not the right way to measure MPG

PLENTY of factors go into MPG. Ive driven 80mph for 10 min and used lots of gas, ive also driven short distances and used almost the same amount of gas (traffic)

 

going to work and back in 1 day uses about 1/8 tank ..going just TO work used that much i dunno ill keep an eye on it

 

I wanna hear the story about how the engine had to be replaced. Cat/lizard/dwarf crawl up in there?

Seriously, like everyone else is saying, the engine probably just needs breaking in. Be patient

 

He blew it up by beating the ____ outta it. Its in the drivetrain section of the forum I believe.

 

man you need to break the engine in the mileage is always bad when its not broken in.
