Be a geek and get one like my gf?
ACK... so I've been following the Scion tC for several months, and when it arrives at the dealerships and I check them out, my gf decides to go ahead and buy one too
She needs the new car more, but I'd feel like such an utter dork having the same car as her. Needless to say I'm not happy with the idea of her driving the better car (I'm currently driving a '92 Sentra SE-R vs her half broken down 88 Prelude).
Should I be a dork, get a tC and option it out? Or look to find something else? I could always option it out better than hers (SC, springs and struts are mandatory). Or wait a year or two to see what other interesting cars come out (Mazdaspeed 3? BMW 2-Series?).
I'd go WRX or SRT4 instead, but they're just way too fugly of cars. I love the level of luxury you get with the tC ontop of good old Toyota reliability.
Any opinions out there?
btw, my last car was a Toyota MR2 turbo and I've missed it so much, but the cost of maintenance on it was an absolute pain in the butt for my unemployed self at the time. I've been working again full time and earning decent money again so I'm in the market to find something more suiting for my position.

my gf's car is nicer than mines now (my 2003 corolla vs. her 2001 prelude)..even though i had a bunch of stuff on my car and her car was just slammed, i still say hers was nicer..now ill have the tC so id say thats a nice combo..tC and prelude
I have a 2001 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition, Girlfriend drives a 2000 Ford Focus ZX3. She is getting the Tc and I am getting an XB. Sure I wanted the Tc, but I would rather her get it and be happy, because I know I will be driving it most of the time anyways.
Dude...geeks don't have girlfriends...trust me I know
So I think you're safe with getting a tC. Either way, who knows how long you will be together? Girls are lying, cheating....
sorry getting a little ahead of myself.

dude, just get two tC's!
I say just get the tC too, and fix-it up to fit your style. If your girl decides she wants to modify her car too, even cooler! Wouldn't it be nice if both you and your girl's tCs were all pimped out?
Talk about how ____ty the tc is and tell her that only suckers buy cars in their first year.
Get her to buy a tiburon.
Then buy a tc.
You would have a much better car than her, and you would also be the man.

ya, geeks don't have GF's. so be a dork! dork works better.
hehe, i doubt you can tell her to get a tiburon. she ain't that stupid if she had chosen a tC.
hehe, and if you both get a tC, doesn't matter who drives, you can always fold down the backseats
