wow! i feel 100x better about hurting myself with my car now. ive never been that bad... hahaha... except spinning my wheel after mounting.. jamming my finger in there... and on my mom's bmw. tht caliper is about 2mm away from the back surface of the wheel...

actually, while installing a front sway bar a buddy of mine had the idea of forcing a bolt in, not by a breaker bar (which didnt work) but by extending the breaker bar with a pvc pipe. so i held the pipe from a few feet away and pushed, while he was under the car, holding the breaker bar on the bolt. well... the bar came off the bolt and hit him in the face, numerous times. he had quite the bloody mouth after the 2nd time.

i have 2 nice scars and some dark spots, that i thought were bruises but the darkness just never went away, down my left forearm.

i was trying to break loose the bolt on the bottom of the rear coilover of a brand new 2008 tC that we were lowering. the bolts were all new and the air gun we were using would break loose before the bolt would budge.
the ratchet i was using slipped off the nut and i flew back into the wall. my forearm caught the brake rotor and the metal shield there.

it was about five minutes before i noticed i had blood all down my arm, i honestly didnt feel it, only after i washed and cleaned it did it sting like hell.

Worse has to be busted knuckles all the damned time. I have smaller hands and still manage to find something to bash, mash, scrape or punch...

Second, even though not always involving blood is easily getting crap in your eyes. Even when you're wearing goggles...

My car stand tipped over because I was on an incline, luckily I was looking at my car from a far distance. Also, when I put the stand under my car on my street, the stand sunk into the ground because the pavement was crap.

That's nothing...when i used to work for the Ford dealership, i cut my middle finger hald way off with a cut-off wheel. I was in surgery for 4 hours having both tendens, main nerve, and joint damage repaired. I had 5 months of physical therapy. It's almost fully functional again now.

Bloody knuckles have happened on almost every mod so far. I've pinched my skin numerious times making the blood pool under the skin, looks soooo wierd and cool. I love getting hurt though, geuss it makes me feel like a real car guy when I am bleeding from taking apart the front suspension, lol.

I've been fortunate enough not to get anything major. I cut myself every now and then. One time I burned myself a little while trying to run a wire through the grommet while my engine was still a little hot. Other then that. nothing really.

Ouch fox. I do like those green mint candies tho... mmmmmmm.

Just busted up knuckles and fingers....but the thing that hurts most is the shame when you can't get something done yourself....

If a hood drops on your head, I don't you'd be posting here telling other people about it. You'd be DEAD !

i had totally forgotten... 4th of july 2006 i heard some noises from my rear sway bar. it was knocking about, so it needed to be tightened on the end links. so i lifted the car. reached around under it, and looked the other way to reach to the other end link and i heard some sizzling. and i look ar ound and see my forearm is touching my exhaust piping and its sizzling. i pull my arm away, and the top 2-3 layers of skin simply melted off. didnt feel it till later. i only HEARD it.

still have the circular mark :D looks like a birth mark now.
