Hello one and all...here's my dilemma...

I need a new glove compartment cover. it's the piece that is the cover to the glove compartment, the hinged piece. during an emergency BBQ situation I had to get a refill of propane and I set the tank on the passenger side floor. as I drove home the tank put some nasty gouges in the glove compartment cover.

My question is...does anyone know of a place online where I could get this part? I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to get a price but I'm sure it would be cheaper online if I could just get the part number. many, many searches (here and elsewhere) have yielded me only performance parts, not any "regular" parts.

can someone help me out with either the part number and/or a place to order the part?

Funny (not) I have the same groves in my xB glove box for the exact same reason. Did you check the lid itself for a part number--they are on the parts a lot of time. Good luck!

i went to the page. it is part # 55550 btw, "OldYeller" you ought to know this by now.... [/kidding].

thanks old yeller and surfcity. that fiche section is pretty cool. now I just have to search for a place to get it. I never did make it to the dealer, too freakin' hot to even leave the house.
