Default Going from 05/06 2azfe to 07-10 2azfe engine

Well, my early 2006 Scion tC is ready for a newer low mileage engine. I plan on trying to purchase a used 2007-10 engine and would like to know what the differences are between the two engines. What will I need to transfer from my 2006 to the newer engine (ie. Sensors, throttle body)?
Also, would I have any issues putting my 05/06 trd Supercharger on the newer 07-10 engine?

Any info, tips, precautions is much appreciated!

Differences are mostly internal - compression, oil squirters, coolant porting, ...
05-06 externally have different intake piping/MAF; S/C wil need to be adapted to your MAF
Also, get an ECU to handle the newer motor (rev. limit goes from 6250 to 6500rpm)

IMO better to stay with 05-06, and spend that money on upgrades.

My current engine needs to be replaced, the whole reason for wanting the 07-10 engine are for the oil squirters, otherwise id just look into getting another 05/06 engine.

I plan on using my 05/06 Supercharger so most likely I will have to use my current trd reflashed ecu.

Good info so far.... More please!

all u need is the newer engine, get rid of the harness and use you 06 harness. I also used the 08 intake manifold because it has an extra nipple for the throttle body that the 06 mani doesn't have and there's a nipple on the throttle body that just vents to atmosphere. Everything else is just the same old thing, no reason for ECU either man. As far as supercharger I have no idea, I was turbo at the time but it should be all the same. The newer engines might have a shorter accessory belt, take a look cuz I'm not sure.
