Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't see how this is anymore 'stupid' than doing anything else to your car... right? A car is a canvas, it is yours to mold and other people's opinions be damned.

This is a 1989 Toyota Crown Royal in the VIP style.
http://www.terra2imports.ca/import-j...2364656001.htm

This one is quite nice and truly VIP:

I don't know about doing econo cars in the VIP style, as HKSpeed mentioned it's quite contradictory, but to each their own.

EDIT: Here's a history of the VIP style. The whole cult like status around it makes sense when you understand where it came from:

VIP is not a car club. It's a trend coming from Japan. It is VIP Style and it's pronounce "Bippu Style". Main platforms are the Lexus LS (Celsior), GS (Aristo), Infiniti M (Cedric, Fuga), Q (Cima). Bippu Style tuning is "elegance" and "modesty". Favorite colors are black, silver and white.

Please remember that Bippu Style car rides well is one of important things for the style. It's about the stance that sets your bippu car apart from the others. That's why choosing good quality parts is a tuning skill.

Go for it man... peepz here sayin its stupid are just plain ignorant. The tc is a very clean car and simple and can definately be pulled off. I would recommend the 5axis lip kit on some 19's or 20's dat ish would look pimp az **ck! And make sure da car is leathered down and slammed to the d**k.. Dats wassup

This is a pretty good attempt at a VIP xB:

Not black/silver/white, too many stickers, but the body kit/camber/wheels are done quite nicely.

Emphasis on clean. That Toyota Century I posted above is absolutely gorgeous.

but it's just a scion. how "VIP" can it get? i say just accept the car the way it's meant to be.....a decent looking reliable econo coupe that is great for being daily beaters. and get the "real deal" and make that VIP and call it a day.

Orrrrr you can mod the car the way you want. He didn't say he want a VIP tC, it's a style. Honestly for that matter the only Lexus that's "VIP" is the LS, because let's be honest someone of VIP status will not roll in a GS or an IS.

don't get me wrong but if you want a bippu car then the first thing to do is buy a car with the platform. (i.e. celsior, aristo, cedric, fuga, cima). our cars can be bippu-styled using the right parts. if you want more info you can log on to:

yea those wheels look terrible on the tc. They just don't fit the style of the car. Not many tc's can pull off VIP.

Thank you. This thing gets on my freakin nerves (not the topic), but the way that people were pouncing on him for saying he wanted to go VIP. As if he was going to call his car VIP like it currently is. Giving him constructive critism would have worked out better, while there was some good advice given, I'm disappointed that most sounded like some high school students. Anyway that's my rant. Peace.

im sorry.....but like i said before when u put that kit on...it looks like crap....paint job i like...the body kit its self is horrible. IMO the jp lipkit, or 5axis would be best overall and im not a lip kit kind of person...

I dont think a tc would look vip, unless you debrand it, and change it so much that no one can tell its a tc.

I think the closest a tc can get to VIP would be the stealth look?

No offense but.
a TC is not VIP....

Ned knows his $h!t. like what he said, originally started out with cars like Celsior,
Aristo, etc. Sorry to say but Scions Will never be VIP, the closest thing to VIP you'll get will be the xB and xA the only reason being that many parts and accessories from FABULOUS/VARIOUS, DAD/GARSON, etc. make parts to mistake it for a VIP car.
Throw come camber, wide wheels, very low stance, then it might pass. but for those who really know VIP know it wont pass.

Just my opinion/info.

some of that stuff just looks retarded pick up modifed luxury & exotics and thats what i think its all about about a subtle body kit some interior work some nice wheels and tires that fit and some performance tuning that make the car go fast oh and a good suspension
