I am considering selling my amp so I can have even more money for this stuff... It's an 800 dollar amp so hopfully I can have enough where when spring comes I'm loaded and ready to go.
I just wanna boost the car, throw on some wide wheels, and boost the hell out of it lol

Make power UNDER THE CURVE forget PEAK POWER and turning a ton of RPM. Your not building a racecar here.
I haven't seen the Camry engine up close but its prolly open deck for the most part. Sleaving is just for safety and allowing a little more displacement.
$12,000 is a meaningless figure because you haven't factored in tuning, blowing the thing up because your buying parts based on catalog engine building and not a car built to suit YOUR NEEDS. Not everybody needs or wants or uses 500hp and its not practical for a street car. Even with a basic Greddy kit or TRD blower the car will be MORE than enough for most people out there.
I wouldn't call a 2900lbs car with over 200hp at the wheels, SLOW.
Both systems will be good enough for 300+hp when armed with the right support parts.
Forget about building a Dyno Queen, I know plenty of cars built right without number that would be considred impressive by the general public and they just eat up cars with higher peak power numbers. You have to fully understand what your dealing with here.
Once you understand that, then you build accordingly as much as you budget allows.
School's out....

That greddy kit sounds hot. Especially if it includes the emanage. I know of a lot of people using that on turbo civics and absolutely loving it

And it's not all about power under the curve. When you shift at redline, you will end up in the top of your RPM range, unless you have weird gearing and you race by shifting at 3000rpm when you have a 6k Redline (drag or circuit). Lets not get the whole HP vs. TQ debate going. I really dont understand what you mean by "try to outdo some Honda owner and rev the hell out of it" my car makes good power all the way to Redline, and its a given that a car with a higher redline AND more horsepower will beat a car with a lower Redline AND less horsepower top end. I had a 98 LS1 Camaro and that only Redlined at 5600rpm, and I never lost a race to any Type S, or Type R, or even the "all mighty" NSX, no matter how high they revved.
