Correct me if I am wrong. Your engine will run at a higher RPM when towing a trailer to maintain the same speed, correct? So why then, would it not seem logical that if the ground system was greatly improved, then the engine dosen't have to work as hard to keep it at a higher speed....did that make any sense?

Oh Well, making my kit myself, only gonna cost about 25 bucks....it's worth it just to not have the idle jump around and the lights not dim. And why is it everyone that gets one says their car runs "better?" They must do something....

just my 1.5 cents....

That makes sense, and I agree. They've been using in Japan for a while, and I have personally witnessed the steady idle in an xB, so I KNOW they do something. Faster? Prolly not.

I just installed mine, and I agree with Wagon Master, the idle has smoothed out, I am waiting to see if my mpg goes up, also there was a slight engine whine in my audio system, it seems to be gone. I installed one for a customer that they bought from ground fusion nice kit with great instructions. Randode makes one and it is a good kit also. I have a BS in Electrical Engineering, and I was skeptical, but they do seem to work. I will post later on my end result gas milage. Bill

Your engine would run at a higher rpm (to go the same speed) if it (with the automatic) or you (with the Manual) downshifted, or the torque converter unlocked. Although the torque converter should stay locked at speed even under full throttle. But I don't quite understand what you mean by "if the ground system was greatly improved, then the engine doesn't have to work as hard to keep it at a higher speed." You mean the added load (physically on the engine) from the electrical system? For this analogy to work you need a load on the engine (From the alternator I suppose) but more resistance means less current and so you would actually find less of a (physical) load from the alternator.

This has really been bothering me and I've thought on it some - the only thing I can come up with is that the body panels on these cars are so thin or especially resistive that it can not support the amperage from the high current parts (Window motors and Fans.) As far as the idle issue I can't come up with anything -- It sure seems like if a better ground would make the engine idle smoother Toyota would have done it. Or do you guys mean the idle fluctuates every few seconds when the A/C is on?

Someone enlighten me - Where do you connect all the wires on these things? To other body panels or parts of the wiring harness?

Just received and installed my Ground Fusion kit yesterday. Idling is definitely improved. Nice inexpensive mod. Thanks GroundFusion, you the man. Beautiful kit.

This only makes the idle smoother when the a/c is off. There is nothing you can do about the idle fluctuation caused by the a/c clutch.

My kit connects to the chassis, to the head, to the other side of the head, to the trans, to the battery.

whatever dude. I noticed a smoother idle. I would not sell a ground wire kit if I thought I was selling BS.

Default amount of wires

I'm new to this ground wire tech and need some info.
Why do some kits have more wires then others?
The more wires the better?
Where can I order some of these kits?

Thanks.

Some have more wires, but Idont think its necessary to ground things like the wiper motor. I dont think more wires do much more than increas the cost. I have ground wire kits in stock.
