This one guy in a Lamborghini Murcielago pulled up next to me at a gas station at night. He started asking me about the tC, and how he thought it was a Maserati prototype. I told him it's actually a Toyota, and he was very impressed. Then I told him about all the features, power everything, etc. He asked my what gas mileage I got, and he was very impressed because his 12 cylinder was a gas hog and he didn't like it at all. Anyways, he said he was kind of sick of his Murcielago, because it wasn't practical, and offered me to trade cars. We just drove to the DMV after that, and exchanged cars. I drive a Murcielago now.

I still have wet dreams about that day

Oh yeah, and before I traded in my tC for a Murcielago, this really hot girl looked at me out of her BMW when I was getting into my tC. I will remember that moment forever.

 

Darn it, you guys are so lucky! I got my 1st speeding ticket with no warning, only 10 mph over (compare to u guys ) and no compliment but a bad one

My most surprising compliment came from a young black man driving a brand new Dodge Ram 1500... We were side-by-side stopped at a red light. He motioned for me to unroll my window and then began asking me the standard "Scion" questions. He finished by saying, "Damn man, that's sweet lookin' "

It seems like I get someone asking about the car every month or so. Once from a Bullet Edition Mustang, another from some guy who races mustangs, one from my old landlord (thought it was an audi), a bunch of others but i can't think of 'em atm.

Just last night I was at a gas station and these HOTT asian girls (my girlfriend thought they were HOTT too) park next to me in a pimped out newer model Hyundai Tiburon, and the passenger turns and asked what kinda ride that was. After I told her the whole deal she said, "That is one HOTT ride, I can't believe that's all stock too, congratulations." Lol, I my baby!

 

well, i just have a question about the guy that started this forum just because they dont make 2005 or 2006 3 series convertibles only in the 6 series but ive had a few comments on my car but i always park next 2 my dad who has a 2003 porsche twin turbo so he usually tends to get all the compliments unless its just someone saying its a great first car

 

A dad I vaguely knew was walking past as I was putting stuff in the trunk of my car.
"Is that a hybrid?" He asked. It was at the point where gas was $3 a gallon, so I said, "right now, I'm kind of wishing it was."

That's pretty much it. My female friends call it 'cute.'

 

I had a guy ask me if i like the 350z while pointing at my car in a gas station.I laughed and said I like the 350z but this isnt one.A wtf conversation continued from there.I LOVE TELLING PEOPLE THAT IT WAS SO CHEAP

Although one stoopid tart asked me if it was one of those new hybrids.I slashed her tires as someone that dumb shouldnt be driving

 

I got complimented by a police officer when i got pulled over and I got complimented by another who didn't pull me over but told me to slow down and I got complimented by my neighbor with a two thumbs up who drives a g35 coupe and I got complimented by an old man in a red/puple mixture colored s-10. My friends GF said it was an ugly car but I think that she was more jealous than anything cause she drives a 4 door civic. Oh yeah and I got complimented by an old white guy at the dealership and I get a lot of stares around town when im at a signal. Thats it.

 

I don't think his car literally just came off the lot, but it was a new 3 series. BTW, if your question for me is do they make a 3 series convertible still, according to their website they still do.

I get lookers all the time, especially since I got the dark tint. I park it way out under a tree at the gym by the Porches, Beemers, etc. away from all the SUV's with a thousand door dingin kids and I always catch people going - oh, that's her car as I'm walking up to it.....bummer tho when someone else got the SAME CAR/SAME COLOR w/no add-on's & then parks it by me.....ah well, that's what I get for being a show off....but I can't help it ....its SOOOO cute!

I did have some really cool comments and MASSIVE stares getting my car out of valet at an upscale Scottsdale nightclub. That was cool.

Also, I do get the comment - oh the other car is that ugly box car - but my daughter drives an xb & I tell 'em the cost, the gas mileage, cool features & the roominess & that if they rode in one they might change their minds - I know they start thinking hmmmm...

man its a hell of a felling when people ask you what kinda of ride is that. everyone loves the tc i think.

 

yeah i got pulled over one day for rolling a stop sign... lol and the cop asked me how i much did i like it because his wife wanted one and he asked me if the brakes worked on it and i said yeah they do then he wote me a $90 ticket lol
