Had to say goodbye to the tC
After a love/hate relationship with my tC, today I bid it farewell. I loved the car, put a lot into it to make it mine (s/c, leather, etc) but grew tired of the many problems I had with it.
I was sad to see her go. I'll always respect the tC and their owners, and wish you all the best. One of the best aspects of Scion ownership, for me, has been this site. So thank you all.
Today I traded it in for a 2007 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V8.

Well, the list goes something like this:
1. Had to have the stereo replaced
2. Had to have one headlight assembly replaced (condensation)
3. Had to have heater core cover replaced under dash (rattles)
4. Had the side airbag sensor recall done
5. Had to have my supercharger replaced.
6. Had to have the hatch rattle fixed (never really went away)
7. Had to have the thermostat replaced.
8. Had it in for two CELs
Each of these issues (there were more, BTW), took at least one, but sometimes 2 or 3 trips to the dealer to get all the parts and what not. Each trip equals hours out of my day and I just couldn't keep doing it. Hopefully my new car will work out better for me. But it really ripped me apart because I truly did like the car.

As for mileage, there's not actually a tremendous difference, which has been a wonderful surprise! I'd average about 23-25 with the Scion, and that was on premium unleaded (supercharger). In the 4Runner I'm getting about 19-22 on regular, so it isn't a huge adjustment. Though the 4Runner feels huge!
