this SI had CAI and cat-back exhaust and the TC has with headers, downpipe, and axel exhaust. doesnt seem that much faster to me.

so you pretty much base your answers on other people's videos, get the supercharger and see for yourself.

i wonder if they guy really knew how to downshift. hmmmm. isn't that like one of the first few things you learn on a standard/ manual tranny? upshift/downshift seem kinda important to me. and if he can't figure it out well just goes to show that he doesn't belong racing in the first place.

well lets take a look at this. you're comparing an engine that has about 50hp more than the tc does. even with 10 more hp it still isn't going to cut it. why try to compare two totally different cars verbally, go out and race one at your drag strip, and if the tc doesn't win see how close its riding you. different gear ratios, the actual tuning of the car from factory, driver skill, condition of car, etc all make a difference on the performance. by the way

Scion TC quarter mile time about 15.7 seconds
acura rsx about 15.2 seconds

hmm..... rsx not much faster is it?

That Si driver has no skill in driving wat-so-ever. there is no way the tC with those mods can beat and Si with evenly matched drivers. I S/C tc does have trouble keeping up with the Si. They have LSD which helps them get that power to the ground. There gearing hurts them a lil at the start but they should win with evenly matched drivers. It would be kinda close though. Search the net and read the facts.

The best mod of all is the driver mod, without that it brings some good cars to shame at race time and have people going "WTH just happened?". Also, supercharging a tC to beat an SI or RSX Type-S is def fail. The only way to go is turbo. I know of an SI and RSX Type-S that both are running similar mods(I/H/E and reflash) and they are nasty, and have been taken lightly. They've made their opponents look dumb when they race and if they talked down(reminds me of an SRT-4 owner that claimed 335 HP but never walked from said RSX Type-S) they have nothing to say after. But put the tC stock vs an SI stock in a 1/4 mi run the tC will get the launch then the SI will get the tC at the end, if the distance could be long, it'd walk away. Roll racing the tC doesn't stand much of a chance(talking of both cars stock).
