Default Half- Spare Wheel

Why in the hell is our spare wheel only half size, and more importantly why is it painted yellow. I understand that alot of carrs have half size spares, but none are colored pee-yellow. Driving around with that thing is embarassing, and its all because every dealer in Tampa doesnt have the tires for the tC in stock. Just my two cents.

Where are you at? My dealer is supposedly getting them in stock on Tuesday. I really dont need a whole wheel, all I need is the tire.

if it makes you feel any better, the spare in my MR2 is the same ugly yellow. there are some good reasons for this. it's a temporary wheel and tire that you are only supposed to use in an emergency. basically you drive it home or to a shop and you get it fixed asap. the tire only lasts like 60 miles or something ridiculously short, and can't be safely driven over 60mph. So you know what, if you are rolling around on an ugly-___ yellow donut all day, you might have more incentive to get it fixed than if it were all black and nice-looking. It's also a visual indicator to others that no, you're not asleep at the wheel, you're driving 45mph on the freeway because you had a flat.

Good points. Never thought of it that way for some reason.
