it happened...scratched!
you know, i got my tC in february, i baby the thing. although it's really dusty in the pics. anyways, i was pulling into my garage when i hear a scrape, so i stopped right away and got out to look. turns out my mom put the garbage can close to the edge of the door...it's a plastic garbage can and it ate through my paint, into the metal/maybe primer. scions have some weak ___ paint, this would have left a clearcoat scratch on my corolla.
i ordered a color matched scratch pen and clear coat pen from paintscratch.com, i'll try and rub it with rubbing compound (my car will not tolerate wet sanding)
anyways, heres some pics, i tried rubbing compound and different polishes, but it's scratched good. i can feel it lightly with my fingernail. it doesn't look terrible, the pics with the flash make it stand out alot, i haven't looked at it in daylight yet though
i wanna cry

dood, i know how you feels. i got hit twice less than 24 hours the second month i got my car. side scrap took a good size 2inch chunk of paint off my sideskirt while scratching my rear fender. and some idiot rear-end me lefting a bulge on my rear bumper the next day. both hit and run, i almost cried.... boiii was i mad!
xnevergiveinx...I feel ya man. The day after I bought my car I was making the 350 mile drive home from the dealership (the only FM in Cali at the time) and a semi through a rock and scratched my hood and chipped my windshield all in the same motion.
Has anyone considered having a bodyshop squirt another layer of clear coat on? I wonder if it would help with future scratches. I can't imagine it would be that expensive and if it works it would be money well spent!

Ouch man I feel ya pain. IIP is such a hard color to keep clean and scratch free. Hopefully you have some good luck with the touch up pen and buffing that out. I also feel like I don't want to drive my car too much cause of fear of messing it up,, but then I think ahh it's just a car! Good luck
