I didn't look at the directions because everytime I load up a pdf file my computer locks up, but man, why would you do that to a tC? Not only is it ugly, but the tC was not designed to pull anything.

 

who said I was pulling anything? I hardly think a bike rack holding 2 bikes at most is going to drag this car down. Look up other posts, what i'll be using it for is nothing.

 

if its for a bike rack then youll be fine, class 1 hitchs are easy to install and lightweight, ive installed many of those, one on a porche!

 

Most of the time a hitch is used for pulling.

Yakima used to make a bike rack. I don't know if it's readily available anymore.

That hitch is an easy install, the holes line up to existing ones in the frame... it is easier to install if you can put the car up on a lift.

I got mine so that I could use a hitch mount bicycle rack; just got tired of stuffing my mountain bike in the back of my tC and I'm too short to be lifting stuff onto the roof.

i dont get whats so hard, it looks like its supposed to just bolt right on.

 

I haven't used that one. But I did make my own hitch. I assume it will use the same mounting points as mine. The driver side has nuts welded in the body, the passenger side has holes but no nuts. It should come with inserts to bolt up the passenger side.
