Default Has the tC Flint Mica color really been discontinued?

Just got off the phone with my local Scion dealer. I had money down on an order for an '06 Flint Mica tC, and he told me that the factories just now discontinued the flint mica color for unknown reasons. So of course I'm pretty ticked, since it's arguably one of the better looking "dark" colors.

Has anyone heard this new information yet as well, or is there any real meat to this? I find it hard to believe that with all the '06 models coming in that they would get rid of this popular color.

interesting... i thought only silver and blue got replaced...flint mica is a very popular choice, no reason for them to drop it. maybe your dealer was smoking crack. some are known to talk out of their @ss, especially if it somehow cuts into their bottom line in order to get you a FM.

I have an '06 FM. *shrug*

While they're probably harder to obtain nowadays, I doubt that they're discontinued as a whole. My friend just recently custom-ordered an FM with a few options, and she's looking at a 60-day wait from Japan for it. So I guess they're not discontinued, just few and far between.

Yes, I had told the dealer that the web site still showed flint mica as as option, but he didn't have an answer for that.

I guess time will tell, hopefully we will get some "official" news on FM's true fate.

He's probably trying to get you to buy from what they've got on the lot, instead of working to get you the color you want.

Just because of dumb sh*t like that I'd go to another dealer. I can't stand dishonesty.

At 0800 tomorrow morning, hopefully I'll get the honest answer from one of the other 3 Scion dealers in the area, and will let everyone know the skinny. Plus it always helps to talk to their sales managers to keep everyone in check.

I have a Flint Mica 06' tC. I think it's impossible to have one of the popular colors to be discontinued. I recommend you asking another dealer and your dealer is BSing you.

Definitely buy from another dealer and tell the original salesperson and his manager the reason why: THEY MAKE SHT UP!

Glad I didn't get that color. It's been overexposed.
