Default Hatch Raffle - from License Plate / Frame?

So I've been researching a lot of the posts...

I bought foam tape and put some of that stuff in between those "ribs" seen in other posts here..

I also took off the screws near the interior hatch handles and realized I was missing a white plug that pops the plastic into the metal. Anyone know where I can get one of those jobs? In any event, I put some foam tape where that would normally go to pad that...

Anyhow, if I still banged on the plastic around/near the latch of the hatch, I still got this bad rattle...

So I discovered it was the plate/frame holder...

Took it off, put some more foam behind it to secure it better... and that particular noise is gone.

We'll see what tomorrow brings, and if it's improved, I can take some pictures.

yup.. i did the foam stripping to the license plate as well.. definitely gets rid of noise, not to mention, protects the paint from the plate!

Must be many hatch rattles from all the "fixes". All of my fixes so far have not worked. I already tried the license plate thing and no luck. My hatch rattle comes and goes which is very mysterious. When I try a fix and I don't have the rattle for a couple of days, I think "THIS IS THE FIX". But then it always comes back....

I definitely noticed that a certain noise was missing this morning on my commute.

I feel that helped somewhat.

I still hear some vibration noise, but that could just be the normal car noise... nothing annoying like before.

We'll see what tomorrow brings.
