hatch rattle add to previous thread
There have been many threads on the hatch rattle and I did some work to get my rattling to stop on my own after the dealer could not help me. I have not seen this exact solution posted.
I read in a previous thread: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...rattle&start=0
It was posted that the hatch rattle was made by some loose wiring in the top of the hatch. I took off the piece of plastic shown in the thread but I also noticed that the piece itself was loose and that was causing the rattling I was experiencing (when I tapped the plastic with my fingers it made the same noise). I placed some foam pieces between the metal and the piece of plastic in the hatch. This has so far solved the problem.
To be safe I also put some adhesive foam on the hatch rubber stoppers. This fix was also mentioned in many posts.
HOpe this helps anyone experiencing hatch rattles
