Default Have Any One of You tC owners Received..

A email, or a phone calls or anything in the mail regarding your local dealership you bought your scion tc from, stating there in high demand and wanna buy back your car...

I must of gotten 3 emails and flyers for the past 3 weeks or so,that my local toyota dealership i bought the car from, wants to buy back my car regardless if i want a new car or not,its odd,im not selling my car nor do i plan on selling it any time soon,

Im just curious if anyone else got anything like this...

yes, lots of people have, it is just a way of getting you back into the dealership to trade your car in for a newer model.

This is just a general dealership tactic. Has nothing to do with Scions in particular. They'll do this for ANY car to try to get in back in the seat and sell you something else. There is no possible way for you to make out that much better than you currently are - unless you were already planning to trade in the very near future anyway.

my friend has a 08 scion xb and got this noticed also,so he went to the dealer to see what they will offer him,and they were more into selling him a new car rather then buying his old one back.....and he even showed them the flyer.......and they acted like they never saw one before......it was weird......he just walked out in his current vehicle..

I get at least 4 letters a year asking to buy my car back from me..."no matter what condition it's in". I wish they would understand... I won't give up my baby.. EVER!

I've personally noticed-

Getting oil change, brake job from dealer: A Chevy dealership called telling me they have wonderful news...Wanting to give me a crappy trade in value for a Chevy.

Got a Coolant Flush from dealer once again: A Kia dealership called me saying the same thing.

Been doing DIY oil changes-Haven't gotten those dumba$$ , thanks for wasting my time messages ever since the coolant flush.

----
So if you do dealer services; thats probably why you're getting them.

I lived out of town for a few years going to school. I took my car to the local dealership to get a few things done on it. A week or so later I constantly got letters from that dealership telling me about how great the condition of my car was and how'd they'd be glad to accept it as a trade in if I were to be interested in another car. So yea... You're not the only one, the dealership just wants to make money off our cars.
