Default Headlight Info NEEDED ASAP!

(Have searched site for topic, havent found a good answer)

- So I want to make my headlights brighter, but im not sure what do to. HID's would be cool but I dont want to mess around with wiring and ect. because im not the most handy car knowlegable person on the earth. The guy at AutoZone told me the best bulbs they had are a brand called "Hella". The package said they were High Performance Xenon Blue D.O.T. Compliant.

My Questions

1- Whats the difference between the brand the guy gave me & HID's ?
2- I noticed inside the headlight housing there is a few different set of bulbs...if I did decide to change the 1 regular ones, would I also have to change the others to make coloro/brightness/style? Or would the smaller bulb work fine with the new?

- The regular lights are to DIM for me and I would really like brighter bulbs (Nothing illegal, i just need bright enough to keep me awake!)

Help is appreciated!

1. you didnt search hard enough if you couldnt find this answer
2. hids are better than any halogen bub you can buy
3. i have only changed the low beam and the city light to match color...rarely use
my high beams anymore with the hids
4. get hids...wiring them up is as hard as plugging them into your bulb socket

@ Testa
- I did look for about 45 minutes. I checked about 5 different threads with only a little bit of luck.

-- So its suggested to even swap out the High Beams just to at least match color choice of the low beams? Also, what are the "City Lights" your talking about?

-- I found a HID Conversion Kit on http://www.carid.com/2007-scion-tc-x...kit-77434.html for only 100 bucks. Is that a good deal?

(Side Question)
- What size does an 07 TC Need? The guy at the store told me 9006 bulb for the in-store brand so is that the size for HIDs? What about the size for the High Beam Bulb?

If anyone can drop a link to a Do It Yourself page it would be greatly appreciated!

Using HIDs literally will take 3 minutes to install.

1. take out old bulb
2. put in HID slim ballast
3. plug factory wiring into HID wiring.
4. Profit

For the 07 get 35w 9006 HID's. Color is up to you.

As far as giving you more links... Search the site dude. We aren't here to cater to your every move.

Like said before, hids are brighter than any halogen and the also last longer. Buy a 35w kit with any color of your choice. (6k is probably good for you). The install is simple.

Low beam=9006
High beam= 9005

Since you have a 07, the stock low beam is 9006. And yea I would go with HID over normal bulbs, much brighter and the install is pretty easy. It all plug and play. No cutting etc.

I bought mine from DDM tuning. The Raptor HID kit is $30 and it's about $10 to ship. So $40~ total.
DDM offers a lifetime warranty as well.

You want 35w, 9006 size, and the color of your choice. (6k is a good color, it's mostly white with a tint of blue) Go higher if you want more blue color, go lower if you want more white color.

I would also pick up the mounting brackets too, that why you can mount the ballast to the inner liner wall to keep them from bouncing everywhere and dangling.

Listem this is a forum, its informational and most of the members know more about this ____ then I do, so if I cannot find a specific answer then I will just ask in a thread. Your not obligated to answer & your smart ___ responses make you sound real childish (no offense). SO, if youd like to help a fellow TC Owner great if not please dont answer. That simple.

@KRZE
- Thanks for the site, the kit I was lookin at was 99.95 lol So 40 bucks and a lifetime warrenty sounds good to me. Do I need any of the extra stuff like Harness, Error Code Eliminator, Adaptor Cables or Brackets?

^ people like to install a relay for save measures. They are not really needed for our cars, but more for cars that headlights never turn off (ex. Jettas, grand prix) that do not have the surge to power the kit 100%

I would get the brackets for mounting. I've been fine without the relay and so have many others. You could buy one if you want though.
