After 3 months of waiting im getting my TC in a week!!

So after months of silently watching everyone im joining Scion Life.

A new Silver TC is coming (knock on wood!) to SoCal!

so again, Hello everyone!!

 

w00t! I'm hopefully getting a silver one by the end of this month. I put in a order for a super white about 1-2 weeks ago, and theyre trying to get me in the next one that comes thru the door which looks like its going to be a silver...I like the silver now more then I like the white. I guess the reason why theyre trying to get me in one ASAP is because of the trade in which i brought to the table

 

does it usually take 3 months?

 

IDK how long each dealer takes... but this is what Longo told me about shipping...


Toyota/Scion ships x# of Scions to the region ( So Cal ) each month.. in two shipments one around mid month and one around the end of the month.

Out of each shipment there are alocations for each dealer in So Cal and each dealer recieves a % of each shipment. Most dealers recive >1% of the Scions that come to the region. This can be about 10 per small dealer.

Longo receives about 6.5% out of each shipment which comes to about 60-70 each month....

now in my case I went to Glendora first because I noticed they had the highest praise on SL out of all the dealers in my area. I went there looking for a White Auto Base model no options. They told me 6-8 weeks because i was about 14th on the list....

well after about 6 weeks i started to call them to check up... they started to say that it was going to be 3 more weeks... and then another 3 weeks..... well i got impatient after 2.5 months.... so i went dealer hopping

i went to longo first because they were the largest.... and they told me the same thing... another 3 weeks..... but this time i said silver or white.....

well it was just luck that Longo recieved 2 extra Silver Auto Bases..... after about a week!!

(this is not intended to diss Glendora at all.... they just dont get close to as many as Longo does.... Glendora was great intially but they just started to push the date back months at a time... i just go impatient)


Talked to Longo today they said its at port, got my vin, and it should be here in about 3-5 days!!!

 

Update!!!

Got a call from Longo yesterday! the car came in! went there at 4pm and walked out at 6:15 with a new TC!!!

sorry ive been busy driving it all over town the past 24 hours!!
