I just put headers on my car and ofcourse it takes off the main cat. Any suggestions on which way to go on getting a new one?

 

As far as i know, once there are headers on the car, there will no longer be a cat because the exhausts that are header back do not have them... I could be wrong. I guess you could have a custom exhaust made and have a cat welded into place

Well, I live in Virginia, so I need the main cat to pass emissions.

 

^ Just put ur stock header back on when u have emission test.

 

You can do what I did, I cut my midpipe and welded a high flow magnaflow cat. Then I have a resonator (22" magnaflow) to eliminate rasp.

When i had my eagle talon i have a 3" straight through exhaust. I went in for inspection and i told the guy my check engine light was on. He asked if i knew why. I said yes there is something wrong with my cat. He asked whats wrong with it. I said its missing. He paused , looked and me for a few seconds then started laughing. He said it was here when i inspected it right ? I said yes sir !

 

While this will get rid of the CEL, virginia does a pretty in depth inspection on the vehicles.

Also, we don't have HEADERS, we have a single header. And a side note, why didn't you research before buying it?

 

I didn't buy the "header" I got it for Christmas.
