Thanks again for all the great replies
remember though that you will sign the repair order to possibly pay the diagnostic fee even if you have warranty. just as a precaution for the dealer and workers themselves.
too many customers cause there own issues.

cat is emissions, 8yr/80k

I wont even buy oil from that store. My father wont even warranty parts from there if his customers insist on buying their cheapo crap

The cat can die early as mentioned, it does happen. But it is always good to check connections since you were under the car recently. If it is a failed cat, they should charge you for nothing, not even diagnostics. If they run diagnostics and find you caused the issue, then they will charge you for the diagnostic fee.

thanks again guys well i'm going to pick up my car tomorrow, it's all done. i did the laminate on the top of the wind visor, they also replaced my glove box because it would drop down quick instead of slowly.

when i went to fill out the paper work they weren't going to charge for the diagnostic regardless they just put it under warranty and ended up changing out the cat and exhaust manifold. thanks again guys i got everything taken care of and now i'm ready to make my 400miles drive to socal
