ok so i installed megan racing headers / megan s-pipe / HKS HI-POWER exhaust and it is pretty freaken loud... i set every alarm off lol and i was wondering what would help me lower my raspy sound? megan mid-pipe? or a custom mid-pipe with how big of a resonator? 30in? and how big is megan mid-pipes resonator?

ok so if i basically get a custom mid-pipe with 30 in resonator it will kill the loud raspyness by alot? or just a little?

 

custom mid pipe for what? That would make it worse just add a 30 in resonator to stock midpipe.

 

a lot. it should eliminate it. may not quiet it down much because HKS exhausts tend to be loud

i have 1 magnaflow resonator.. i dont have s pipe.. but i do have custom midpipe and the megan header... its raspy but not that much.. and not that loud... get magnaflow resonator... i got one but if i have to redo my exhaust system i would go with two resonator!!!!!!! at least two of the 14... maybe two of the 18-22... if fits...

 

you know, just today I installed my Megan Racing Header with the rest of the megan exhaust parts, and it's actually not that bad. I know it's louder, but not something that I can't bare. I was actually expecting worse. At WOT it is super loud, and thats where I hear some of the rasp, but I can deal with it...

 

mmm im a noob with the size of a resonator... what length and what width resonator will fit my scion tc?

 

ya know... you could just remove everything that's causing the rasp.

actually the exhaust sounds nice its just when i step on it the raspy sound ____es me off lol when i rev it sounds really nice cause of the exhaust. and i was wondering would i get a 4 round center? or a 6 round center from magnaflow resonators? and is it ok if i get a 4round 22 length 28 overall?

whats the difference between a 4 round and a 6 round centers?

 

and if any of u guys have some videos of your car i would really liek to hear it for those of you with a megan header. i looked on youtbue and theres like only 5 and their either idle or inside the car... which is freaken ___ i wanna hear it driving by or somthing you know? lol

would a 2.5 fit? or do i have to get a 2.25? resonators? cause if 2.5 fits on my car i plan on getting 6 round 27 Body. anyone know if that would kill the raspy by ALOT? it will be megan racing headers / megan s-pipe / stock mid pipe / hks hi-power exhaust. thank you.

 

as i told u.. if u can get.. get two shorter of them.. and not 1 long...

i dont know the stock size of the piping.. i think its 2 inch so..u gonna need to take the car to the muffler shop..
and its better for you if you get custom mid pipe and let them weld the two resonator on the midpipe.
so you not gonna have second cat or the stock resonator.
if you go with the custom midpipe then get 2.25"!

4 or 6 inch round?? not sure.. according to the magnaflow site.. the 4 inch round has a 2"5 core... so that is pretty small... so i think i have the 6 inch round because my core was almost big as my hks muffler's tip ( like 3-4 inch")



but to make sure u need to call them! this is the only pics what shows 2.5" core on the bottom of the pics..
call them ask them if the 4 inch round meand its 2.5 inch in diameter.

as i said: i got 1 long one but i would buy 2 smaller one..

two of the 14" ( overall lenght is 20"!!!) or the 18 " ( overall is 24" but the muffler shop could make the tips shorter.. but u need to go to the muffler shop. let them raise the car and measure if you have at least 42-44" clear space.( for the 18 inch ones). where they could put the resonators... if you dont have that much space then see if you have 32-34" space.. ( for the 14's....
