Default HELP me decide!

Okay, so I've had a deposit down on a M/T Black Sand Pearl tC for about two weeks...

Just got off the phone with my dealer, and he said that a M/T Flint Mica is coming in on Friday of next week (11 days from now).

If I say, "I want the Flint," its done. Sold, and owned on that friday.

On the other hand, I could hold out a bit longer---(which at this point is anyone's guess) for a black sand pearl....

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, given that I've heard conflicting reports regarding delivery times. . . some people say that they only had to wait for 2 weeks to get delivery of a BSP. HOWEVER, some dealers are posting things like, "expect a 9 month wait for a black manual"....

Folks, help me decide...should I grab the flint and settle, or wait for the BSP?
---note: there is an extremely slim chance that I could have a black within 3 months...but absolutely, positively NO guarantee

WHAT TO DO? :?: :?:

My first choice has always been Black Sand Pearl. I went to numerous dealerships saying this. During that time i have gotten numerous calls back, BUT it was them checking to see if i changed my mind, since they had the other colors in, but not my Black. Well, I waited and waited, and i'm finally going to be gettin my BSP. I say stick with yoru first choice, you don't want a color that you will somewhat want, you want a color that you definitely want.
I somewhat wanted the silver, which i could've had back during the first week of July, but i waited to get what i Definitely wanted, which was BSP. ok i hope that helps haha

So how long did you actually have to wait?
--I don't kinda want the flint, I really like the color, just wanted the clean looks of the black w/tint...but, in texas it could be for the best comfort NOT to get black...

Its just killing me to wait, and my trade is on its last freaking leg! lol

also, as an added note...it should be said that my dealer has three people on order in front of me for a M/T BSP, and they have yet to actually get one on the lot! EVER

WAIT and get the color/options you want. Waiting is tough (as I waited 9 months for the tC to finally arrive) but in the long run, you will be happy with the color you want. BTW, I have a Flint Mica which I think is a great color.

Hey... I say hold out for the color you really want. I have a black tC and its beautiful. The flint is also beautiful... but I like the black much better.

Check out my pics... http://www.yoursciontc.com/forums/in...?showtopic=301.

The pics on top is without tint... the ones on bottom is with tint. I went with a 35%/35%/20% tint. Looks very nice (elegant) with the black.

The black sand pearl color is not too bad... because the metallic flakes in the paint hide the dust. The only problem I have is with oily finger prints.

From a former owner of a black car, black w/ tint is VERY nice looking. As long as its clean. And its night.

You'll hate touching your car if you ever have to park in the sun, and if you can't regularly wax your car at *least* once a month (more often is preferable), it'll get really really dirty. Hand washing is a necessity to avoid ugly swirly marks.

Flint Mica would be considerably easier to take care of maintenance wise.

Of course, its your car, you paid for it and ordered it... you should get the color you want ^^

Haha...that car wouldn't be good for someone living here.

Anyway, I had two choices of colors. Of course I wanted the Azure Pearl, but the silver streak was also a good color. Decision time: I went with the silver streak because it'll be mine by next week. The Azure, not so much. Then again, I NEED this car ASAP. It's only a matter of time before the car I'm driving just dies. So, if you're in dire straits like I am, go with the Flint Mica. If you have a dependable vehicle (or if you don't have places you need to be), then definately wait for the BSP.
