well congrats on popping your cherry
if its not that bad, i wouldnt worry about it all that much. it wont be the only one especially driving it to school.
use some scratchx to get rid of the scuff.

Dealership replace a dented door for free? I'd like to see that.
Driving without insurance? How in the hell did you register it? And why would you drive ANYWHERE without insurance? Especially with a new car... wow.

Well sucks to hear that, man. No dealership will do it pro bono. If it bothers you too much take it to a body shop and have them fix it. Once you drive off the dealership lot, you're responsible for it now.
Oh, driving without insurance = fail.

That sucks! I can very well relate to you on this subject. I have garage parking this semester where I attend college. I just purchase a tC a few weeks ago and figured it'll be wise to pay a little extra this semester to protect my depreciating asset . You would think that garage parkers are more sophisticated than those parked outside, turns out they are just the same. I disarm the alarm system after class to find that every day of this week, my alarm has been going off. Gets me paranoid enough to do a 360 degree inspection, but then if something really happened, you can't really do anything about it - it's life and stuff happens.
My advice to you is 1st to get full coverage insurance and then find a corner area to park your car from now on. Park your car as closest to the edge as possible. I even park 2 inches or so over the line of the edge. I find that this is a good deterrant to door dinging.

PLEASE don't get an insurance policy and call in a claim as if it happened after your policy was set up.
I had enough dealings with the State police (who we referred fraud to) to know it just isn't worth it.
And don't worry, if you cause an accident without insurance the insurance company(s) for the other guy(s) will set you up on an installment plan to pay back all the damage you caused. And your rates will go through the roof when you try to get a policy.
SR22 FTL.
I still can't figure out why you think the dealership would replace your door...

your alarm is going off all the time because you park in a garage. i would drive my truck into those things and set off at least 6 car alarms while i try to find a spot. you just have to desensitize it a bit so exhaust noise doesnt set it off.
