ok, my battery is leaking and its melting my aem battery tie down, do i need a new battery or can something be done about this one?




also there are some white spots on my intake that don't come off idk if this was caused by the same problem

i dont believe there is anything that you can do about a leaking battery so your just going to have to get a new one

 

looks like the refill caps are a bit loose, they should sit flush to the surface. Try tightening them down.

Is your intake stainless steal? you should get some polish or stainless steal cleaner and buff it out

go to sears, get a new battery and leave off that aem tie down. and yes, get an optimum if you have the money. if not get a die hard gold or something like that.

Walmart!!! Its a battery who the hell cares what kind it is. I mean Optima's are the shiznit if you got the cash and if you willing to spend 150 at the dealer for a battery which is extremely laughable you can afford an Optima. If your running a huge system then I would say Optima if not a WALMART battery will do even for a small system just make sure you get a Capacitor regardless what people say its a good thing for saving your battery and alternator.

 

new battery yes, but how is 7up, which is acidic, going to clean up the acid, use baking soda, its a base, it'll neutralize the acid, and make cleanup easy.
