Default Help please, Urgent.

Hi everyone. I got my sub today in the mail and I was installing it. I'm having a few problems and i'm going to finish the installation tomorrow because its too dark. When I took out the glove compartment, the other piece came out, its like a black little tube with a pink top, its the thing that makes the compartment open slowly and not bounce down. It has 3 holes in it and I can't seem to figure out how to put it in, when i try to make the hole go on the inside piece, it just falls out when I install the whole glove compartment. Also one more thing, on the sub install in the back, when you put a hole through the right interior panel, do you make a hole in the metal also? It seems logical that you have to make a hole in the metal sheet for the bolt to hold. How can you make a hole in the metal? I have no idea what a 5/8th hole punch is and i don't have a drill. Thanks in advance for any replies.

I'm guessing you're talking about a tC because the xB glove boxes just slam down LOL! As far as the hole punch, it's basically a way to make a hole in sheet metal. It has two parts, a die and a receiver, not really the easiest way to make a hole, but it's cleaner than a drill. You should drill into the sheet metal to hold the sub securely, the plastic will surely break. Good luck with the glove box.

EDIT:

for the hole punch, you still need to drill a small hole!

Yeah, I forgot to say its a tc lol, I guess i'll go out and buy a drill tomorrow. The glovebox thing frustrated me, i'm going to try in the morning when theres sunlight and I can actually see in front of me. Does anyone have a pic of the sub from the hatch? I got the feeling that my sub is a little out of place. ANDDDD one more thing lol, when you hook up everything at the end, do the door speakers stop putting out bass and take it all to the sub? or do they still pump bass along with the sub, thanks for the quick reply.

The hole in the sheetmetal behind the panel is already there. the panel needs a hole to let the stud mounted in the sheetmetal come through. The speakers play full-range still.
