Talking Hey guys, need some help.

I have an 08 S/C tC with just about every other TRD mod they allowed from the dealership. This car has opened me up to the world of quick cars and fun modifications.

The help i need is this....I really dont know much about upgrading a car. I know enough to get me by for average car problems and such, but i dont know hardly anything about what upgrades do what. I put headers on myself as well as a carbon fiber hood, but thats about the extent of my know how lol I've heard of people talking about getting the car tuned and chipped. I have no idea what these things mean, where to get it done, and if it will void my warrenty.

Toyota told me headers and a intercooler are the only things i can do under warrenty, but i wanted to hear it from you guys. What are some things i can do to the car and what can I expect from said upgrades? What about upgrades for after the warrenty (only one I know is smaller pulley)

I know i sound very noobie and im sure there will be flaming but hey, you gotta learn this ____ somehow! Thanks guys!

we all started somewhere bro

Tuned and chipped is exactly how it sounds. your putting codes in the cars computer to enhance performance, or your driving style.

since your basicly TRD'd out, i'd slow down with the engine mods.

do some exterior mods or interior. get a lip kit, a stereo, some Corbeau racing seats

one for sure mod you should do is get an Optima redtop battery. or just plain get rid of the toyota one.

since that vid ive added headers, R1 carbon fiber hood, really dark black tint, dark blue tint brow, and smoked tail lights.

I wanted more engine mods because it seems like i have a hard time with cars i should be able to beat. Maybe i just suck at driving idunno.

The whole "inside warranty" thing is kind of a myth. The dealership is legally required to prove that an aftermarket modification you made caused the failure you are trying to get covered.

If you have lowering springs and the electrical system starts having issues- They are not related. Obviously building up the engine can cause problems in a lot of places...but that's on the dealership to prove.

Take your time and learn about what you are planning on doing and make sure you or your shop does it right...and you'll be fine.
