can anyone with the pedestal or lip spoilers tell me about their driving experience goin at high speed (90mph+), does the car feel lighter and how does it feel when you change lanes?

well it shouldnt make much difference. functional spoilers only work when your going pretty fast

 

lip spoiler? forget it..

 

they won't do jack for our cars.

anyways, it's just for show, plus we have front wheel drive, a spoiler wouldn't help if we were at high speed anyways

 

I have the rear lip spoiler, i think it looks better i dont know about making it faster but the car is fast enough for me so i dont really care HA!

 

A lip spoiler probably won't do anything big enough to notice at any speed. A well designed pedestal will put a more downforce on the rear of the car at high speeds, but the tC is a FWD car so it's unlikely you'll have problems with oversteer at speed anyway.

BTW at higher speeds the pedestal will drag alot, so its not a very good choice in terms of pure performance.

To my understanding, the only spoiler which actually helps a FF car is a Touring Wing.

Supposedly, a true touring wing will provide some downforce, and help with control cornering at high speeds.

Then again, I'm no expert. When Supertouring was big in the states, every car had a spoiler on it...

 

wow, a entire 42 hp for a spoiler. WHat if I add a racing stripe and lots of TRD stickers?

 

haha, I have a lip spoiler... so, if I put a pedestal over it, does that double it up to 84?
