Well i am driving down I-95 just minding my business. All of a sudden the car in front of me kicks up this shinny looking thing. Its going bounce bounce bounce and bam as it hits the front of my car. Now orginally i am thinking well hopfully it went under but in the back of my mind i am thinking it made a sound like it stuck. There was no second thuds anywhere else which would give me the impression that it passed. Well i get home and decide to wash my car and lookie what i find !!

i guess i was lucky that it only hit the grill and not the bumper.

 

What the hell is that??

 

Its metal and is shaped like the top of some kind of odd can like thing.

 

atleast it didn't hit the bumper, lights, or windshield but from the 1st pic i thought it could of been ice LOL. but why didn't you stop to take a look at it when you had the chance? i do that when i hit something just to be sure nothing bad happened.

 

whoa! that thing is like STUCK in the grille.

 

Atleast there were no people walking around... Thats got one of those freaky chinese star type actions going on there... LoL!!!

hhmmm.... Next mod now, TURBO so you can lose the lower grill and it not look funny...... LoL!

 

I am not getting out on the side of a highway to see what hit my car. The way i see it the damage is done so why stop.

No theres really no damage. It cut one honeycomb but you cant even notice it. No need to buy a new one.

Could have been worse I guess. To stick like that that thing had to have been sharp. Imagine if it sliced one of your tires!?

 

i was thinkin, imagine if it came through the windshield and hit you...

 

haha that just reminded me. i was on the freeway and i see this lil kid sticking his hand out the window of the backseat of this van. then all of a sudden he chucks a mini guitar out of the window. the guitar is bouncing and hits my car.

then i pulled over and was suprised there wasnt any damage.

 

Dude I was driving on the 405 going around 70mph in light traffic, when a car two lanes across from me kicked up some metal. The metal object somehow flew directly across my path from left to right and then went into some trees off the side of the freeway. I almost crapped myself. I actually ducked inside my car. Both of my windows were open at the time and this thing flew right in front of me at head-height. It crossed about 6ft in front of my windshield. Thank god I wasn't going just a tiny bit faster.

But yeah, freeway debris can strike at absolutely any time, just when you are minding your own business.

 

damn guy. Thank god the grill stopped it. Woulda been bad if that thing hit the radiator. Highways do suck. One time I was driving to work and the car infront of me kicks up what looked like. wet wood, type of drift wood type looking thing. but it was a big piece. A good 3 foot long. maybe half a foot wide. Freakin thing went airborne right over my car and luckily cleared my car but let me tell you. It was some scary shh.

 

I did see this guy standing on the shoulder hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

 

same thing happened to me. i was drivin home and the car in front of me kicked what looked like a black hard peice of plastic and hit my right front fender on my celica. now i have a huge deep scratch on the fender.

 

wow your pretty lucky it didnt hit your car.
