So this morning my mom keeps banging on my door to wake up and she's like what the hell did you do to your car?! So I run downstairs and my mom shows me the back of it, here you can see for yourself.




My mom said she kicked most of it in because it was sticking out a couple inches before I came down. I didn't back up into anything the night before so I'm guessing someone hit me at night while parked since I would've seen it in the daylight. Is there anyway to fix it? Or will I have to get a whole new bumper? And is there anyway to take the black mark off in the meantime?

 

u can try using some scratch-x to buff some of the black marks out. You don't hafta get a new bumper but you would need to take it to a shop to fix where its dented in.

 

it just needs bondo and a repaint and it will be fine, I work at a body shop btw

I already had a dream about people breaking into my car and stealing my parts this morning... this isn't gonna help haha.

i tryed fixing mine because insurance said since in 17 and i have a "sports car"
that my insurance will rediculuosly go up. no matter if it was my fault :[

 

looks like u can remove the bumper and pop it out,,, and us some 3m paint polish.. to knock out that paint trash thats left behind...

 

I got some of it off with paint thinner but my dad said whoever hit me, hit me with force so the really dark marks are still on there

 

bumper is one thing but i also see a crack in your tailight and tat sux even more dude...

 

oh damn...that hella sux...i hope after a good buff everything will look close to normal

 

didnt even see the cracked tail........oh well apply some 3m paint polish scratch remover it should knock out that crack in the lite

 

Whatever you do, don't just reach behind there and push it back out. That will cause the paint to crack and fall off. If you attempt to do it yourself you need to heat the area up and slowly massage it back out.
My advise, call your insurance company and file a claim. Report it as a hit and run and your uninsured motorist coverage will take care of it - assuming you live in a state with that coverage.

 

Hmmmmmm very suspicious..........can your mom account for where she was last night........had she been drinking........moms can be tricky.........perhaps she tried to hide her plowing into the car by making it look like a hit and run..........

That sucks. Thats why I'm glad I park in a structure and not on the street. Theres alot of cameras to see what happened and the most I have to worry about is door dings. Finally you may have to replace the rear bumper if you want to sell the car. Bondo and paint would be noticed by anybody that knows anything about cars. Just do the investment right now and replace the bumper.

 

youll need a new tail light assembly, but the bumper cover is definitely fixable. it might cost about 500 or so bucks. lucky they didnt hit the deck lid as well.

 

Sucks....Same thing happened to me two nights ago. Was my front bumber (Was backed in).

 

Sucks bro.... It looks creased which will be even harder to get back to normal... hope all goes well... I would say look on here for someone who just bought a kit and is getting rid of there stock bumpers or get a kit yourself.
