Hit a trashcan last night...DAMAGE with PICS.
Last night around 7:00PM, I was driving home from work and it was REALLY windy and it was raining really bad. I was only going around 35-40 when a empty trashcan flew in front of my car and I hit it. I didn't hit it too hard so I just continued to drive home and when I pulled in my driveway I got out and I went to look and see the damage.
The right fog light insert was missing, the tow cover was missing, and there is a crack on the lower front bumper with a few scratches on the side of it. I went back with a flash light and found the pieces laying in the middle of the road and popped them back into place so that's okay but I still have this crack and a few scratches.
I went to toyotas body shop and they said it would cost a total of $730.96 for them to fix it as they would need to order a new bumper, paint it, and install it on. They said my insurance would pay some but I have a $500 deductible and I don't want it going on my record as something this stupid so I'm not doing it.
I was thinking, If I am going to pay that much for a stock new FRONT bumper, shouldn't i be looking into a body kit such as the "Five Axis" body kit? I am concerned around the price all together since I would have to get it painted and installed also and I'm not trying to spend almost 2 grand.
Let me know what you guys would do or how much it would cost to get that kit painted.

That's actually a really good idea. Carbon fiber lip or paint it Flint Mica and have them put it on? It wouldn't look stupid having a front lip and no sides or back?
I was thinking hard today and I would probably get the whole body kit over just the front bumper but that lip is actually a good idea. What lips are good besides the RS1?
EDIT: Wait, just the RS1 Front Lip kit is almost $400??

actually no, there are a few people running just the front lip on their cars, it looks good in most cases.
My personal preference is OEM or the 5 Axis lip, but they are not the cheapest options.

Soo, the RS1 Lip Kit's I am looking at are all with 1 front, 1 rear, and 2 sides? That actually is probably my best bet paying the $400 for that and paint and install would probably come out to the same price as the stock bumper right?
The RS1 kit looks great actually. You guys think the RS1 will cover that crack up though? Anybody know the cheapest price online?
Also, I have a HKS Hi Power exhaust and it sits to the side. Can the RS1 rear kit fit on that?

rs1 kit will cover the crack,OEM kit will cover the crack,5 axis will not cover the crack.......
HKS will work with a little trimming with RS1,OEM and with a lot of trimming the 5Axis......trust me I know......lol
I always like the RS1 kit it is not over the top,has a clean look, fits well, holds up well, nice kit and pretty cheap to purchase.
