im thinking of getting this exhaust and the ingen cai first since i have no mods yet.
would this be a good investment? and do you think it sounds nice.

 

i think it sounds the best...i have the exact setup. It's all sound though, no real hp. You will probably get a total of 5 whp. But it sounds soooooo good.

 

i dont know much about exhausts but do you not get hp gain because its an axleback or what?

 

You may get some high-end HP, and lose some low-end torque, but that's about it.

 

axlebacks will give you 2hp more

 

Are most of the exhausts (axle back) that are available for the tC really loud? I want to get something that has a nice low rumble but that isn't so loud that it wakes up the whole neighborhood when I leave for work. (BTW, don't have a tC yet, just figuring out how much I will be spending in parts once I get one in the spring)

 

I have a TRD exhaust and it sounds like what you described... I like it a lot

 

none of them are really that loud (axlebacks) some have a deeper sound, some a little high end (raspy), and some just a little deeper than stock. HKS is not really that loud by itself...but when you pair the CAI with any exhaust, it's gonna get a little loud. Just don't get on it in your neighborhood and you will be fine...keep under 3k rpms
