I'm not in a hurry to get it. I can wait a week or two, then I will wash, wax, and dust.

pick up "california car duster"

dust the car once in the morning and once in the evening, and the dust will never stick to the condensation.

all I use is a duster and quick detailer for bird crap and havent washed the car in almost two months and it still looks like a spit shine.

however I do wax the car too, that keeps the surface slick so a lot of the dust just slides rather than settle.

I dont think silicon attracts dust, IMO its the static electricity that you create when buffing. after a couple of days that static will go away and dust wont be much of an issue.

since you leave your car outside to make easier on yourself instead fo cleaning it all the time you might as well buy a car cover to go right on top and take it off every time you leave.

Bug and bird poop stains are easy to take out with Meguirar's Scratch X. Make sure your car is clean, use a wax applicator pad, squirt Scratch X on pad, RUB HARD into etching. When product looks like its absorbed, apply more Scratch X and rub again. Etchings usually take about 3 coats of constant applying, (DO NOT wipe off until scratch/etching is gone). And to rub hard is to apply as much pressure on the pad as you possibly can without denting the car. Wipe off with Microfiber cloth and make sure to wax area.

I am pretty sure the car cover won't last more than a few nights before being stolen.

I too use the CA duster, works great on my FM. and if it rains when your car is dusty, and leaves the dark dirty water spots, the CA duster will take it off. There will still be the clear water mark, but the dirt will be gone. You don't notice it unless your up close. But as for dust when it does not do a light sprinkle, the duster takes the dust off great.

I thought the car duster created MORE scratches since it's moving the dirt around? so I read here. Can anyone confirm this?

I am under the impression that the California duster lifts dirt instead of moving it around like a normal duster.

doesnt scratch, the duster is coated with a soft wax that never really dries, so dust clings to it.

if you dont air out the duster, it will occasionally leave streaks from the soft wax, but not scratches. the streaks can easily be wiped off.

yes dust not a problem, but I would not use it if you have clumps of mud or other hard debris. But for pollen and dirt like dust it will do the job.
