Default How Dark is Your Tint???

I'm gettin my windows tinted next week but I'm not sure what % to get. The legal limit in Oregon is 35%, but I'm more than willing to go darker...maybe even 20%? Anyone have pics??? (Especially those SW drivers out there!)

Just don't go darker than the law allows. Those laws are in place for a reason. My windows have factory tint on them, which are actually pretty dark, but I'd like them a little darker.

i have had double limo tint on a previous vehicle and didn't get harrassed for 3 years. however, it was a 4runner so I could lower the back window and see when I was parallel parking. On the scion I only got limo on the quarter windows.

Get the tint you desire, but remember, you gotta pay to play (if you get caught that is) ...

20%

been about 6 months and haven't been hassled about it at all. depends on where you live though i guess. cops around here are rightfully more concerned with hassling tinted out crown vics with stupid 20" spinners, so they leave the non-suspicious cars like tC's alone

35% It's a metallic tint so it sometimes looks darker depending on light conditions.

See, not quite as dark:

I Know NJ doesn't allow tints unless it's factory tints or prescribed by a doctor... This state is a ball buster...

35% on the front doors and side panels with the help of a friend. We did not tint the back window because it was a huge pain in the ___ and came out looking bad. I actually like the back window not being tinted because it allows more light into the car and doesn't make the tints look as dark as they are.

I went 35% (legal limit in OR) and love it =D Plenty dark, but not so dark that it looks out of place on my FM. IMO with FM if you go too dark it looks off... need a SW of BSP for the real dark tints.

On a sunny day with the sunroof cover open you can see inside the car if you get real close. If there's clouds at all, though, it gets a lot harder. All depends on lighting conditions. I'm going to shoot some pics tomorrow if I can.

Plus I love how it dims the headlights behind me somewhat at night. Much easier on the eyes in the mirrors.
