How do you feel about your car?

 

I used to be "touch it and die". However, after a couple of battle scars learned to live with it. I hope I don't move down to "it's just a car" since I still want to preserve it so I get a good offer when I trade her in.

 

I like it. I used to care more until it got all scratched up and got door dings from careless ássholes. Now I try not to get so attached.

 

Funny, I wrote my reply before I saw yours. Sounds like we both have the same story. I used to be "touch it and die" at one time.

 

I used to be protective of it. Almost killed the dude that put his truck in reverse and floored it infront of me. But now, ahhhh, its just a ride. Insurance takes care of everything.

 

^ That's sad. It's always other people who steal away our enthusiasm for the tC.

I've already come to terms with the fact that it will be repainted eventually. Now just time to choose a color...

Even though I try to take care of it in anyway I can, bad things always seem to happen to it

 

touch it and die..although the main thing that bothers me is other ppl who dont care..if i damage it, i'm in a bad mood but i'm ok...if someone else does, im ____ed (if its intentional or just bc they dont care.like door dings)....but yeah. touch it and die..

i'm the one parked at the end of the parking deck, barely straddling the zone where a car cant fit normally..so the guy on my other side is a door length away
..lol but i'd guess every SL member is like that at one point or another.

 

3 years and 60,000 miles and still love it. not quite the "touch it and die", but definitely love it.

 

Yeah I know about every dent and scratch on my car. Thankfully only two dents; hardly noticeable. Can't see the scratches that much because of the color. However, I do have quite a few rock chips on the front.

I treat my car like a Lexus. I just wish other's would see it that way.

I'm definitely a touch 'er and die! I love my baby! I just bought my sizzling crimson mica tC about a month ago so hopefully I won't get any dings and scratches anytime soon!

 

It's just a car. If I got upset about every door ding, scratch, or swirl mark I would never be happy!!

 

Well put. Unless you have a garaged, never driven car, its just a car to get you to and fom work.

As much as I have put into my car, its still just transportation. i cant control how other jackbutts act around it.

I got over the touch it and die thing eventually.

 

I voted "touch it and die", but really, I just love it. I hate when people lean on it thinking it's OK. But most people know how I feel about my ride and keep clear of it.
