My boyfriend has a Nissan Maxima and his remote has the option to "beep" or be silent, he just holds on the lock button and it beeps and to release he holds it again then it becomes silent (with just the lights as an indication). Does anyone know if this could be available for the tC?

Yeah I know what you mean by turning around to see if locked when I pressed the button unless I will have to press it 2 times to make the car honk.
I do it all the time since I dont have alarm system on my accord. Though I have anti-theft

Do you have a tC?

I just went out to mine to test your statement. I rolled down the driver's window. Then closed the door and locked the car from the outside using the button on the remote. I then reached through the open window and unlocked the door. Nothing happened. Then I opened the door. Still nothing. Are you speaking from personal experience? And if so, does that mean there's something wrong with my car? Or are you just talking out of your ___? You seem to have no car in the registry.

Are you talking to me or...
I was talking to chipmOnk. After posting that I noticed his post of a picture of his key. Obviously, he does have a Scion. I suppose he just did not realize that I was referring to a car that did not have the added security package. I appologize if I was harsh.

ah i see... sorry for giving wrong information. my statement was based on experience in my old car which also had keyless entry but had no "alarm" system. if i left the windows down and unlocked the car by hand from the outside, the keyless entry would go off. i figured that this would be the same for all cars.. :?

A keyless entry system with a siren attached to it? That sounds like an alarm. What kind of car was it? My legend and both my diamantes did what you are describing, but they both had factory alarms.

it was a '01 accord ex... i didn't opt for the alarm because it was like $500. it wasn't a siren, it was wired to the horn...
