Default How is this exhaust?

http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/...6%20SCION%20tC

2006 SCION tC
#1 DRAG Cat Back Exhaust Sys SCION tC 05-06
#1 NUMBER ONE Exhaust - Cat-Back System Unit of Measure: KIT
Part Number: 001+4316 Core Price: $0.00
DRAG Cat-Back Exhaust System - VTEC - T304 Stainless Steel Muffler with T304 Stainless Steel Piping - Pipe size: 2.25"/57mm - Tip size: 4.5"/114mm
$302.88 Sugg. Retail Price but priced at $207.09

I don't want to spend a lot of money on an exhaust system. I don't want to go over $250. My other option was to buy a Flowmaster 80 series and have a muffler shope custom build the pipes for me. It won't cost too much since I'll just go to a local shope nearby and they charge "ok".

Also, is it really worth the $230 for a CAI? I've just used a drop in K&N intake on my previous cars and I've been happy with them. I'm concerned because the rainy season is around the corner and it floods sometimes in the valley and I wouldn't want my engine taking a sip of flood water since I know some of those CAI are low to the ground.

Its the same exact one as the Tsudo that is sold on E-bay.
If you go the flow master route at a local muffler shop, you will probably not be able to get mandrel bends. I think the exhaust above is worth the money, but will be fairly loud.

It looks almost like a clone of the Megan Drift-Spec

yep a flowmaster route would result in crimp bending. but I figure there won't be too many bends since it's only going to be an "axle back" and the axle to the end of the bumper is only about 26inches.

How is the sound of that exhaust tho? I don't want my car to sound like a Civic. I want a deeper tone, but not a droning sound that would cause my head to burst.

I dont want to bad mouth Megan.....But on the box it comes in it says made In Taiwan......Same for the Tsudo and #1 Exhaust from Nopi.....and they all the look the same, except for Megans Muffler which looks a lot better IMO.

I installed a Tsudo on my friends tC and have seen a Megan Drift Spec being insatalled and the piping looks the same

The Tsudo I installed on my friends car sounds good. Deep tone at idle but loud at high revs. It comes with a silencer which muffled it pretty good but resulted in a nasty rasp sound.

He is going to have a cat installed where the original one was romoved which should help with the rasp.
