Default how to get the mait required life to go off

i want to change my own oil but i dont know how to get the light to go off. in my dadas truck there is a way to do it without a scan tool.

Maybe I can start the search bashing....

This has been discussed approximately 737282 times. See the red "Search" button on top....please use it as to not waste space on the server. If nobody searched, this place would be full of answering the same questions over and over - although it already seems to feel that way!

scan tool? Are you sure you dont have a "check engine light"?

1. Switch the car to IGN-ON
2.Display the odometer
2. Turn IGN-OFF
3. While turning back to IGN-ON, hold the trip meter reset button down
4. After a few seconds, you will see 5 dashes start to blink
5. Hold down until the maintence light flashes.

it is complete after the maintenance light turns off, now let go of the reset switch and start the car normally.
