I just ordered a black 2006 tC today from my dealership. It is manual, with no options on it, including no floor mats. Now my dealership had told me that Toyota has tons of tC's sitting in the factories waiting to be sold. Once they get an order, they put the accessories on it. But since i didnt add anything, will i get the car quicker? Thanks.

 

I guess... mine took a few extra days to add all the extras so I don't know if they will take their time shipping it or just get it out.

 

i waited almost 1 month and still didnt' get the barebone FM tC,
They said they are getting a new shipment this week

 

I waited a month for my RS .... and I had sold my car already so I had to bum rides... it was horrible. It was worth the wait though!

 

Most of the accessories that scion offers are installed at the Port . The port at which they are brought into the US . Depending on how the port is set up and their procedures are, it could be ready as soon as 2 weeks but it also depends on where you are in relation to the port . We have a port of entry here in jacksonville florida LOL infact i live like 15 mins from the facility .

 

yea there is a port in NY i live in NJ i ordered my 06 tC with no options on thursday n dey said it shold b at the port this tursday so idk.. its not even a week i want my damn car!!!

 

no it will not be quicker... most scions i've talk 2 said all tC are shipped stock and they get their access. from somewhere else

also it depends how many people orderd the tC ahead of you. Some dealers get to order more tC at a time, some don't. Apprently the dealer i went to can order 2 tC at a time which is ordered once a week, therefore i won't have it till late july

 

Actually, the only factory options (meaning installed at the factory) are the side airbags. All other options are installed either at port, or by the dealer.
