Default How to Mod a TC

My name is Kevin am the inventory manager for Harr Toyota and I have been given the opportunity to Build a Scion TC. I can put in any factory installed Scion Accessories into the vehicle. I havent been in the Scion scene yet, but have been heavily involved in the sport compact scene for approx 4 years now. I am 23 years old and live in central mass. I have been at Harr for approx 2 years now. I currently own a 99 Audi A4, and a 2000 Honda S2000. My former cars include a 90 Chevy corsica (first car), 99 Jepp Cherokee, and a 2004 Dodge SRT4 which I modded and raced heavily, both autocross and drag. I had Stage 2, SSR Competitions 17x7, intake, exhaust sway bars, STS etc. But when I have taken home the scions to try I have been nothing but impressed with them. The build quality for the price is amazing, the handling is great for a a sub 20k fwd car, and accelleration is nice. Well hopefully Ill meet a couple friends here.

One of my big things is Car Stereo, I have built my S2000 with a pretty SQ focused system. I have an Eclipse CD5000 head unit going to two amps. For my front stage I have an Audison VRX 2.250 poweing a pair of JL ZR650 components. In the trun you will find 2 8w7 powered by a JL 500/1. Everyones amazed at how powerful my little 8" subs can be. The entire trunk is dedicated with a custum enclosure.

Back on topic. What color should I design this car In?
What options would you put in the car if it was your?
what options would you exclude if the car was yours?

This should be kind of an interesting experience, almost a "Build your car" without having to pay for it.

It should take about 10-14 days to build the car and get it here, and I will post pictures as soon as it Arrives for everyone to see

as far as factory options go i would put add on the ground effects kit, rear lip spoiler, sport **** and pedals, full audio system, the 18's, and seen as how you can do as many as you want i'd say all the "performance" updrades

^^^It should be a TRD special edition. My dad has a TRD special edition FJ Cruiser and it has everything TRD except a supercharger and it has a black roof instead of white. A trd tC would be cool with a fixed metal roof for increased stiffness. But back on topic.

Thats a pretty cool idea. TRD has a lot of stuff that not everybody gets to see all in 1 place. I bet the dealer would love that too since its what you sell.

i ofcourse favor silver because silver and black is always a great combo. also, i would get the in-dash disc changer with the satellite radio antenna on the center of the dash like on the rs2 tc's. much cooler than the trunk mount. and i can't believe nobody mentionted the pedestol spoiler. oem fog lights are a must. and amber interior lights to match the color of the instrument cluster and dash board buttons.

i know some dealers have the option of adding leather seats (leather covers) so you should definitely do that too if you can

Definitely have to get the LSD and s/c. TRD doesn't make a front sway though which is an issue if you want true performance. Hotchkis makes a great one, but thats not sticking to trd/toyota.

I like the optional 18s with the ground effects kit while dropped on trds with trd shocks/struts.

Please DON'T get the multi-colored steering wheel - I think that's just HIDIOUS!

in all honesty, ithink u should do somethin else with this car. i mean clair has the done up (SC, Body kit huge sound) with their tC and copeland has their white TRD tC i think you should go a different route, i def recomend FM also.

how far away from the Cape (wareham) is Harr? i wouldnt mind meetin up sometime, maybe help you think about stuff to do to it.

do you plan on taking it to shows?

also if you do i recomend not going with the SC instead you should go turbo if your gonna add forced induction... the SC is becoming more and more popular at shows and even tho im not a judge, and im only one person, but i am 100x more impressed with any turbo kit over the TRD SC. just my 2 cents.
