Put about 7.5k down with my trade in and my '01 ford ranger that i sold on craigslist, one day sale! Ended up needing finacing for about 8k for the rest of the vehicle but my credit is pretty shot so my intrest rate reflects that. Should pay it off in about 6 months though, thank god for no early payoff penalties.

 

The longer the months the worse it gets. You will end up paying so much interest that you could have probably bought another car. 20% down payment will help you and try to get least amount of years to pay as possible. It will help you in the long run, but you guys have to know that the less you have to pay just cuz of the extended months won't help you. Down payment I think is the most important.
