Default how much are our rims worth?

i want some new rims but its kind of hard taking off the stock ones since they already look good. id feel a little better if i got something out of them instead of having them sit in my garage. i have about 1500 miles on em with no curb rash or scratches. do any wheel places take trade ins towards new rims? how much should i expect out of them? and if i end up trying to sell them off, how much should i ask for? im not very experienced with all this stuff so i need some advice. thanx!

inexperienced at searching as well, hm? ok, now that i've said it, i'm allowed to help you now.

like i just said, search for threads, like "stock rims price" or something... i heard that Matrix owners are looking for our stock rims and that they are the same bolt pattern/offset so you might want to check them out.

You could sell them to someone, or, if you buy your new wheels and tires from Discount Tire Direct, they take trade-ins on factory wheels.

if you trade them in, i doubt they will give you more than $100 for them. Ive tried to trade rims in before and they were like "we cant give you anything for them, but if you want, we can throw them away for you".

Discount Tire will give you upto $500 or more for your wheels depending on condition and tire tread... I received $400 for a set of stock 350Z base model wheels, which brought my total cost of an 18" deep dish staggered wheel package with Nitto NT555's to only $1000.

Most places won't take trade-ins on "aftermarket" wheels because they have no re-sale value. Factory wheels are a different story.

i would personally try selling the rims on ebay or some kind of auction. like car dealerships, tire shops are crooks as well.

im gonna be selling my stock tC rims soon and think one could get more than $500 easy..matrix guys were selling their stock 17's for like $700 or more with tires..and i think the tC rims look way better than those rims.

I wouldn't mind buying your stock rims/tires as spares for my tC. Let me know you live in NJ and are willing to sell them at "reasonable" price. I'll pick them up.

you have to remember this is coming from the same people that think their 18" wheels and tires are worth $3075.

LoL... That salesperson was REALLY exaggerating!!! Like seriously!! At my dealer they were going to sell me take offs from someone who was going to change their TC wheels to 18"s right on the spot.... for only $300. Thats the rims AND the wheels... If they sell them to you for $2000 they are for sure making alot of $$$ off of you! Thats crazy...

P.S. Unfortunately they had already sold them... but I have a few ppl on the lookout for me, cause im in desperate need of some tires!!

Default Brown Banana....

You might probably be able to get $500 or more for your TC rims & wheels :D ... but you'll probably get lucky if you do :? If you're willing to sell them for less, than PM me cause I really need 2 new tires and 2 rims... & Im more than willing to buy a whole set of wheels... I dont think anyone is going to sell only 2 from their set... You know what I mean... Im just not interested in spending $500 cause I'm sure I'll be able to find a good deal like they gave me at the dealer sooner or later.... I just hope its sooner... Hee Hee :D

Retail is actually closer to $2600. One of the salesman on the board posted the retail prices a while ago. Now, you're not going to get anywhere close to that, but if you walked into the parts department and wanted to buy them, that's how much they'd be.
