at least 2,000 for a full car paint. If you want to take the wrong approach (just painting the peices), maybe in the hundreds.

if you just wanted it painted itll be about 400-600 bucks, but if the kit (especially a widebody) thats requires a lot of sanding and blocking, you can see it jump to about 1000-1500.

I think it's the wrong approach if you decide to paint it seperate from the car. By that I'm assuming that you won't have enough flake in the paint, or it will be a slightly different tint, enough to make it stick out from the car. Nothing looks worse than seeing two very similar colors on a car. You don't just paint a body kit also, you have to sand it to fit good, and mold it to the body (bumpers not always, that's preference. However, side skirts you have to). Body kits aren't cheap, well, body kits that don't look cheap aren't cheap at least.

Painting just a body kit to match a newer car isn't as bad as trying to color match a body kit to a car that's several years old and already has weathered paint... so it's not too bad an idea to just paint the kit alone. Thing to remember is that if you get a cheap kit, most body shops will end up having to spend a bit of extra time fitting it to the car and prepping it to get any imperfections out of the surfaces before they can even begin painting it. This is why going with a cheap kit is not always the cheapest route, as you could easily spend more money on the kit and body work to get it looking halfway decent than if you spent a little bit more $$ on a quality kit to begin with.... Whatever you do decide to do, don't skimp on the bodywork/paint part.. find a reputable shop, and pay a little more if that's what it'll take for them to make your car look nice vs. going with a cheaper shop at a lower price which might leave you with a car that'll make you regret ever having got the body kit in the first place
