Yup, for $400+, you'd expect a better system. I had the dealer intallled aftermarket alarm system on my tC for free and it does its job well.

ok so the scion security suck and aftermarket is 99% recommended.

that being said, i've searched and all the car alarm threads are scattered. is there somewhere i can go to read reviews on all car alarms currently on the market?

or maybe you guys can recommend one? i don't need remote start. preferrably something that works with the factory FOB
