what are you going to get an aftermarket driveshaft in a fwd car? sport tuned transmission? haha

otherwise, if you must live for today (hehe)....

get the eclipse 5495 due out soon...(the 5495 is not on the site yet but the specs as i understand are as follows):

http://www.eclipse-web.com/avn/index.html
Yeah, you're wrong. The AVN5495 is already out and it's not Sirius, it will be but isn't right now, ready but besides that you're about right. Also, the AVN5495 isn't a better version of the AVN5435 they are just a little bit different. If you don't care that the HD, which records CDs at 1x, stores the GPS data in the unit the AVN5435 has two drives one for CD and one for a DVD. I firmly believe that for 95% of all applications the AVN5435 is the better unit for the money. That being said, it's freakin' badass.

With your new found money, I'd go with Hotchkiss Sway bars, a 20% tint, circles and wrapping paper (for those that don't know rims and tires) and finaly some engine dress up items. Or you could just drop that money into your car loan, if you have one and pay off the car just that much sooner.

um, definitely go with a RockBlocker kit or some other type of paint protection cuz you'll hate yourself when the front of your car looks like crap in a month. Fair warning.

yup, agree with the first part, would pay off the loan quicker or use it for a new-house fund. if I was wealthy and didn't need the cash, I'd probably go wheels, exhaust, intake, shocks, swaybar, tint. then save the rest for detailings.

For $3500, I got a dvd indash, 18 inch rims, drop, loudass system, optima yellow top, dynomat, tint, and stubby antenna. I think that was all. You got to learn how to shop around and get legitimate hookups and get the most for your money.

Voice of Reason: Pay off your car, Invest it, stash 1 grand someplace in case something bad happens.

Voice of Reality: some combination of things off this list: rims, coilovers, exhaust, intake, strip club, booze

EVERYONE SUGGESTING STRIP CLUB AND SUCH....HE'S 16!!!!

That said how much is your car payment? Are you making payments on your car or is it your parents?

If it's you paying then....
Put 1500 on the loan, save 500, get a CAI, exhaust, rockblocker headlight protectors and tint. Lower it too, but I'd recommend saving the left over moola until I could get coilovers

If it's your parents then....
all the above some sway bars and some audio (that's probably over but....)

Whatever you do have fun with it. And yeah don't do it all at once. Also, if it's not already put it in the bank so you can gain some interest before/while you spend it.

there are a bunch of little mods you can do to make youor car different.
Performance does not equal body kits and spoilers....you won't be going fast enough for anything to matter. And since we have FWD car, spoilers are not needed unless you are doing more then 150 or so MPH...and out cars can't do that.

Funny, I live in the OC and I took exactly that much off of my down payment for:

Tien SS+P's w/ EDFC
Headlightarmor.com 20%'s
Limo tint all windows including sunroof minus windshield
K&N Typhoon
Weapon R Header & S-pipe
CC.Com Full cat-back exhaust
Weapon R Engine Damper
Umnitza Demon Eyes
CC.Com shortshifter

And I'm pretty sure I went a little over $3500.
