How Would I Get an RS?
So I am about to buy a TC, and I want a Release Series because they are so unique. Not really feeling the new blue one. I want the RS 5.0
My question is, if I go to a Scion dealer, would they be able to locate one and get it there, even though its last years model? because the closest one to me I found on autotrader is like 700 miles away, and I was wondering if there was an easier way.
I wouldn't mind an RS 3.0 either, but I feel like those are really hard to find especially with low miles and manual.
so can anyone help me out on getting an RS 5.0?
thank you!

go to the dealer and ask them.
they might be able to check all the dealers nationwide to see if there are any left, then youll prob have to pay a transport fee.
or just find a used one.

You've basically stated your only two options. Talk to your dealer and see if anyone has one left on a lot around you (very unlikely) or start looking for used ones. Check cars.com, ebay, etc. That's about it.
Not sure, other than just going to your dealer like the poster above me mentioned, and asking/praying they can find you one.
I remember the night I purchased mine, the moment my pen struck the buyer's agreement, my dealer pointed to a guy in another room and said that I just beat him to the punch. They're indeed rare. I've yet to see another release series at all, let alone a 5.0...

ya I'm in il I just bought one a few weeks ago. I had the dealer look them up there are 8 with in 1000 miles of here. I had one shipped in from Louisville Ky had 70miles on it. I paid full price but that was before the new rs was announced. you might be able to grab a new one at a used price.
thank you very much my friends. I really apreciate the help
i wish the NYC auto show was sooner than it is.......i would like to see the new RS IN PERSON, before i made a final decision....

Sure, not for everyone - but IMO, one of the best RS's... especially considering that with many of the early ones people kept whining that there were no performance benefits (and no, the strut bar on the RS 1.0 doesn't count).
^This^ The actual reason why I was more attracted to this release series. All others had interior and exterior add-ons which left me going "Where's the performance enhancements at?". The RS 5.0 is the first/only release to include TRD lowering springs/rear sway bar/axle-back exhaust/18x7.5 +42 wheels(wrapped with Toyo Proxes4 tires) in a package.
Really lmao, stop spamming your opinion, when its just wrong. An RS model adds approximately 2300ish to the base price? If an extra 2300 gets you something 10 times better than a tC show me the way.
TRD exhaust: $350
Trd Lowering springs: $159
Trd sway: $145
Nice 18 inch wheels,(and if i do recall proxes 4 tires on them so actually quality tires?) : $ not sure lets say 1k
Total: $1600 (not including the labor)
I think the seats even had red inserts with red stitched steering wheel.
Now, you say the price was enough to make you "jump back". Unless this place you went to plastered some obscene price tag on this car, your being dramatic. My guess is the tag on this car was at MOST 20k. (if auto, less if manual)
